Anime St. Louis this weekend! (plus schedule update.)

Heya, folks. I’m prepping pencils-only updates for this week and next, and it’s looking like this week’s page won’t be quite ready until Wednesday. I could try to bust ass and stay up late tonight, but you deserve better than a rush job.

Looking forward to the start of my Midwest tour this week. I’ll be at Anime St. Louis for a return guest appearance, where I’ll be doing the following workshops:

Friday
9:00-10:00 – Digital Comics Techniques for Photoshop

Saturday
5:00-7:00 – How to Draw People & Figure Drawing

April Conventions coming up!

I’m gearing up to head off to the first batch of conventions for the year starting next week with Anime Boston! I’ll be in Artist Alley at table 108 this year. While the next book isn’t quite ready, I’ll be there with plenty of books, prints, artwork, and doing quick ink drawings for anyone who asks! Come by and say hello.

Then, on April 20th-22nd I’ll be in St. Louis for my yearly homecoming to Anime St. Louis! Yes, you may not know it, but I grew up in the St. Louis area, and it’s always a treat to not only to be invited back to such a wonderful, welcoming convention, but also to see my hometown. I look forward to sharing it with you all.

Then, while I’m in the region, I’ll be putting in a limited appearance at Anime Central. Due to some scheduling difficulties, I won’t have my own table this year, but I’ll be sharing table space with my long-time buddy Tim Broderick, author the exceptional Odd Jobs series. It’ll be great to be in Chicago, and I’m looking forward to getting out from behind the table for a change and stretching my legs a bit. Thanks again for the help, Tim!

If you’re planning to come to any of these shows, come visit! And if you’re not, you should come anyway!

Anime St. Louis!

It’s official! I’m going to be the Artist Guest of Honor at Anime St. Louis this year!

That’s pretty cool, since I went to Junior High and High School in the Metro East. My family is still out there, too. Can’t wait!
