Anime Boston – HUGE SUCCESS

Just a quick note to thank everyone who came out to see me and my presentations at Anime Boston! You guys helped make this best convention I have ever attended to date!

Still recovering from the incredibly busy weekend, but I’ll try to do a more thorough write-up of my travels later this week.

Thanks again!

More Anime Boston fun

In addition to books, I did a number or little ink drawings, portraits, and couple of full-color commissions like this one:
Yom yom yom.

Now to prep for the big trip. I’m leaving on Thursday, and there’s still a lot to do. You guys ran me out of some prints, and I need to figure out exactly how many books I’m going to bring with me! Excitement!

Anime Boston: A Huge Success!

The kickoff to my book tour at Anime Boston was loads of fun and a smashing success! I broke a sales record, selling over 100 books for the first time in a single weekend. The new prints went over very well, too.

This year I was accompanied by my friend Ellen, who helped out at the table and was an excellent assistant. In another first, she also cosplayed as Kate on Saturday! She even attempted the crazy bangs for that totally 80′s styling:

Awesome! Thank you so much again, Ellen! You were a great help, and your costumes were wonderful!

I also had a fantastic time hanging out with Brion Foulke & Jen Brazas, Shannon & Rich Townsend and Dave Lister while they crashed at my place. And on Saturday night we got together with fellow comickers Zack Giallongo, Steph Yue, Shelli Paroline, Braden Lamb, Stevie Wilson, Beatriz Bravo, and Pat Lapierre for dinner where we recreated The Last Supper:

All in all this weekend was a tremendous start to this month of conventions. I’m really looking forward to the rest of them.

Next up: Tekkoshocon!
