This final view of the city is from somewhere over the intersection of Archer and Ashland on the South Side, facing northeast toward The Loop over the south branch of the Chicago River. My wife and I used to live just northwest of here, and we used to shop for groceries near the corner on the lower right hand side of the image. Once again, I used Google Earth to help find a good camera angle, but executed the drawing entirely by hand. I also used Bing.com’s Bird’s-Eye view map feature to help figure out the placement of the various buildings. This page took about 36 hours in about 4 days.
