Chinatown in the wee hours has a reputation for unsavory characters. Initially, this hand-off between Mike and these car thieves was to take place in a parking lot under the El tracks, but I wanted to work in one last shot of the main gate on Wentworth.

Mike’s place, where they just came form, if pretty close to Chinatown. If you remember from earlier chapters, he’s a frequent diner and a restaurant in there. They likely walked.
