Wait, wait! A person vanish from his establishment, leaving car and belongings, and he says “Damn bum!” rather then “Oh dear, has he had an accident? I better call the police!” ?????
He said he had to confiscate the luggage, so I’m guessing he was in Bryant’s room and hence confirmed that Bryant was missing, not dead. If he’s had enough clients stiff him over the years, then his first thought would be “dammit, not again.” Not shallow, but probably cynical / bitter. Just my thoughts.
If you read the sign posted in the hotel room, that’s pretty much the procedure. They seize your belongings and contact you for payment. It’s something like 6 weeks before they have to report it, and that’s before they sell your stuff to recoup their losses.
Besides, look at the walls in this place. How good do you think it is?
This might not be the place to say this but. Happy Robert Burns Birthday!!
Are you wearing your kilt today Dirk? There is to be a small celebration here at Carnegie Mellon starting at 5 pm. We will lift our glass and toast Robbie and sing “Auld Lang Syne”. Hope you get a chance to do the same. Now to make a comment on the above page so tht my posting will not be voided.
It is interesting that the hotel manager/owner of this run down establishment has things arranged neatly in a nice filing cabinet and not in some shoe box or on a computer.
wow xD he’s not happy huh?
What are they going to find in the car and/or luggage, me wonders, me wonders….
