Fist! (yay…)
Loving the way this comic is going. They both agree that this is wrong and something needs to be done about it right away. If anyone can get something done, it looks like these two can.
Panel 1 says who the pointy-eared people (the “elves”) are – they are looking for a domestic terrorist, so the elves are homeland security! And that means they could be any of a number of private companies doing contract work. Also, I bet they got all the tapes from the scene.
Vincent it’s called fiction. It means it’s NOT REAL. or it is in which case I need to take my medicine again… But that’s not the point. They very well could be untouchable, this will only be revealed when we see one die. Bleeding is not enough… Though severe mauling may count. Also, a few of those splatters COULD be them but we can’t tell.
I would be surprised if they missed the tapes as well – bad enough they missed a witness (not that anyone is going to believe him past a certian point).
If they were agents with full backing they should have had a roster of who should be in the station (but hey, maybe it was after his shift and he only stayed back for the interview).
…. still as soon as they look at the interview/security tapes (if they do) they should realise they missed a witness … and then there will be trouble.
Love the story & art – one of my all time favourites
Um, I’m not a cop, but I think almost any cop would prefer a nice unbiased unemotional camera recording to an eyewitness, even a cop eyewitness. Subject to what each was able to see, of course.
Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable, especially in court, but it’s still better than nothing at all. Also, surveillance tapes won’t cover everything, so having a man on the ground perspective is still a good thing, even if memories can alter themselves over time. The trick is to interview as close to the event as possible and as many people in the vicinity to help verify a story. Ideally, you want several people to corroborate a testimony to help confirm the facts.
I think there might be a giant point being missed here: They aren’t going to court. I think, for both of these investigators, it’s not about what to take to court. They both realize they’ve landed square in the middle of BIG DEAL, and it may or may not have become personal for one or both of them.
So, getting court grade testimony? Probably second now, to answering the questions for the questions sake, and staying alive and out of government detention in doing so.
Yeah, these two aren’t idiots. There’s no way they haven’t noticed how this incident is already being swept under the rug, and they clearly know that they’re pushing into someone’s classified secrets. But they haven’t actually been ORDERED not to uncover what really happened here, and I expect them to milk that oversight for all it’s worth.
Odds are this case will never get to court, whatever they do, so getting all the details they can from all the sources they can is more important right now than making them lawyer-perfect sources.
Thats what I say. What?. IF any one tryed using that phrase or word in any way again one they FAIL and two they will come after that person and probaly kill them on sight.
I, for one, can’t wait to find out what genius came up with the idea of creating werewolves, and how they all got jobs with Homeland Security (or a related subcontractor).

you mean the indestructible ones? I thought they were working for deus ex machina….
Nothing is indestructable, all can be stoped. there is no true invncabillity. none out there.

In most cases the tapes and the camera are always over looked. So the high chance of the tapes being there is high.

True as always. The old fasion way of getting info always works. Even though as you say it can be unreliable at times.
“Let’s start with the surveillance tapes”–good idea! And our eyewitness–even better! But what will he tell them? “The dude turned into a werewolf”?
Were-lion, I think.

In all consperacy type court cases this does not happen till near the end of the line and not a moment before.
the “pointy eared” people are also weres from the program.
(elves? really?)

You are making Santa sad

More this is a great comic. and i just like to read more.
