03.21.2012 @ 8:04 am - Update on PS on Android

After a brief miscommunication with the mobile publisher, we are excited to announce that Paradigm Shift #1 is available for download on the iPad and Android devices. To read the first volume, first you must download the FREE Cloud 9 Comix app from iTunes or the Android Market. (Don’t look for a PS app; you won’t find one.)

Within the Cloud 9 Comix app, search for Paradigm Shift! That’s all you gotta do! Volume 2 and 3 are coming soon. Promise!

03.02.2012 @ 1:45 pm - Paradigm Shift’s mobile presence expands!

We at Paradigm Shift received some exciting news this week! Fans (that’s you!) can now download Volume 1, 2 and 3 of Paradigm Shift on not only the iPad, but now also any Android tablet or phone and the Kindle Fire! Download the FREE app from your applicable app store or the Android market!

Edit 3/6/2012: Look under Mini Series > Dirk Tiede to find the books.

01.11.2012 @ 12:42 pm - Guest Appearances: A-Kon & Anime St. Louis

It’s official! I’ll be appearing as a guest at this year’s A-Kon in Dallas, June 1st through 3rd. This is my first time down, and I’m super excited to go since I’ve wanted to make it to A-Kon for years.

I’m also thrilled to announce I’ll be returning to Anime St. Louis again this year on April 20th to the 22nd. They put on a fantastic little show, and you should come check it out.

I’ll be doing workshops and panels, and I’ll be delighted to talk art and process with anyone who’s interested in learning how to improve their drawing skills. So, if you’re in Texas, St. Louis or surrounds, give it a look-see and come out and join the fun!

01.03.2012 @ 12:47 pm - A Kitchen, Completed!

As you can see, PS is back and on schedule. I’m happy to also report that the kitchen remodel is now officially complete. Well, mostly at least. There’s a few odds and ends left (y’know, like drawers?), but nothing I can’t do in my spare time. That means back to work on comics! Yay!

However, I promised y’all a final look at this masterpiece, so here you go, complete with side-by-side before & after shots:

Meet the Team:

Edit:. I neglected to mention that my Mom was a silent member of the team, working tirelessly behind the scenes working logistics to make sure we were fed and had what we needed to keep working the long hours. We could not have made it happen without her. So, thank you once again, Mom!

It took 2 months of solid work, pulling 10-14 hour days, 6-7 days a week, and we did it entirely ourselves. I’m very proud of the results, and I’m very glad to be back into the studio, ready to take on 2012.
