Back home from Anime STL!

Sorry for the belated report. I got back last Tuesday, and have had so much to do since I got back, I haven’t had a chance to blog.

Anime St. Louis was a tremendous success! It was really great to return to my homelands as a Guest of Honor and with such a welcoming reception. Before things even kicked off, I found myself on TV at the local FOX station’s morning show. Thanks again to Tim Ezell for the great interview!

The weekend was a whirlwind. My folks were kind enough to come out and help me man my table.

Me and mom.

Of course, I got to party in the Green Room, and on Saturday night I was in a drawing mood and whipped up a couple of portraits, including this one of a young cosplayer calling herself Yuki:

I even got to hang out a bit with Richard Epcar, the man behind the voices of some characters from my all time favorite anime, like Ghost in the Shell, Macross Plus, and even the big daddy of all of them (for me at least) — Robotech! Pretty darned cool.

Thanks for having me back, St. Louis! It was a helluva fun!
