Original Beast & Transformation

Original Beast & Transformation

Author's Notes:

This beast design dates all the way back to 1998, when I first wrote the outline for Paradigm Shift – ACT I. The initial idea was to have Kate’s beast form be shorter and more compact than her human form, so it would conserve mass without violating laws of physics (in that respect, at least) and be a change from the typical Werewolf: The Apocalypse-style “Crinos” idea. Later on I discarded that notion because changing from one form to another in the blink of an eye violated the laws of physics anyway. So I decided upon going for something a little bigger and more formidable looking. You gotta the swallow the bolognium at some point, right?
