"Next Stop: Germany" Preview

So, Viz has gone and finally posted an online preview of “Next Stop: Germany”. Again, no credits, but oh, well.

I just got my comp copies in the mail, though, and they look fantastic. I do realize I made a few technical errors for the pre-press artwork (not enough bleed space), but minor issues, really. Overall, it’s really nice to see my work in print from a major publisher, even if it’s a giveaway piece. Not so different from my ad work, really.

Finishing up another ad job today, but I’ll be back to PS production tonight! Woohoo!

The Warehouse Scene — IT'S FINALLY OVER!!

My god. It’s finally over. It only took me two years!

Thankfully, they’ve been very productive years, so the next 20 pages will only take me a matter of weeks to finish, now. ;)

I’m even a few weeks ahead at this point. I may put a Part Two progress meter up, soon. Watch for online pre-ordering soon, too.

Also, if you take note to the right hand side, there’s a new comic on it’s way by none other than my own brother, Kurt. He’s had this one waiting in the wings for awhile, but I think you’ll find it worth the wait.

more soon!

It’s been announced!

It’s called “NEXT STOP: Germany / The Manga”.

It’s graphic novel about the U.S. World Cup team published by Viz. Woohoo!

Not only that, but it was written by none other than Shaenon K. Garrity of Narbonic fame.

Unfortunately the press release doesn’t stress this fact, but check out the cover art. That’s mine!

It was pretty crazy project 24 pages to pencil, ink, letter and tone in only 6 weeks, but I pulled it off.

It looks like it will handed out to fans at the games themselves, so I don’t know how easy it will be to get one in print, but hey, it was a foot in the door.

Since it paid well, it also means I’m going to have PS Part Two finished next month, so I’ll get it out in print come August or so.
